Joyce B. Jensen, 92, of Norwalk passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse, surrounded by family. She was born on December 27, 1932, to Rinehart and Ann (Janolis) Schendel at home in Wilton. She graduated from Wilton High School Class of 1950. Upon graduation, Joyce attended Juneau County Teachers College and graduated in 1952. She worked for a few years, as a teacher, at a local schoolhouse. In 1954, Joyce was united in marriage to Marvin Jensen in Dubuque, Iowa. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage together before his passing in 2016.

Joyce spent her life dedicating her time, love, and compassion to her husband and children as a homemaker, honoring her role as a nurturing mother, wife, and 2nd mother to many. She especially loved adding the title of Grandma, Great Grandma and Great-Great Grandma to the collection, cherishing the memories with her grandchildren throughout the generations. In her free time, Joyce enjoyed reading (especially her bible or a devotional), birdwatching, going for a walk, watching a favorite show, enjoying a tasty treat, and most of all, visiting with family and friends, whether it be coffee at the kitchen table, catching up on the phone, or farm chores with her grandkids. She was always a gracious and loving host, making all feel nothing but warmth and welcome. She will be remembered for her loving, happy and patient nature, her warm hug and kiss, heartfelt conversations, and an infectious laugh. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Rod Jensen of Norwalk, Sheryl Jensen of Tomah, Terri (Michael) Lindstadt of Pavillion, WY and Lyn Jensen of Riverton, WY, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, siblings, Richard (Norma) Schendel, Raymond (Lorna) Schendel, and Diana (Harold) Jones, in-laws, Beatrice Streeter, Marlea (Vic) Evans, Junior (Nancy) Jensen and Dennis Jensen. She is further survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, a son, Kevin, granddaughter, Katie Jensen, grandson, Josh Wesoloski, daughter-in-law Debbie Jensen, siblings, "Sonny" Rinehart Schendel, Jr., Regis Jensen, Patti Buettner, Betty Krause, Shirley Fallos and Rose Hempel, along with several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 12:00 Noon at Meadow Valley Community Church, 33907 County Road EE, Warrens, WI 54666. Pastor Darin Deford will officiate. Burial will be in the Dannavang Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Saturday at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
