MRS. JOYCE JACQUELENE PEACOCK JONES, age 90, of Plainfield, GA, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, February 8, at Plainfield Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Tim Tanner officiating.
Mrs. Jones was a born in Plainfield, a member of Plainfield Baptist Church, a graduate of Chauncey High School, and a homemaker. She loved ceramics, tending her flowers, camping trips, spending time with her family, friends and church family, and was very involved with the Operation Christmas Child program. She was the daughter of the late Minnie Bland Peacock and W. Math Peacock, widow of L. Ray Jones, and was preceded in death by a Sister, Louise Peacock Walker, 2 Brothers, Rev. Carl Peacock and Hudson Peacock, and a Son-in-Law, Michael Gatlin.
Survivors: 1 Daughter – Cindy Jones Gatlin of Griffin; 2 Sons – Richard M. Jones (June) and Scotty Jones both of Eastman; 2 Grandsons – Matt Jones (Paula) of Eastman and Andy Jones (Lauren) of Flintstone, GA; 4 Great-Grandchildren – Ellie Jones, Leighton Jones, Jack Jones, and Logan Jones; Sister-in-Law – Neva Peacock of Atlanta; Several Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the Jones residence, 185 Plainfield Rd., Eastman. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Plainfield Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child program or Plainfield Baptist Church Renovation Fund.
