Joyce "Joy" Ann Bryan

Joyce Ann Bryan, age 82, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. She was born in Sadieville, Kentucky, on May 18, 1943, to Lee Bailey Sowers and Arva Dean Noe (nee Vance).

Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Lee Bailey Sowers, her mother, Arva Dean Noe, and her cherished grandson, Zachary Ziehm, and her infant daughter, Cindia Joy Sowers. She is lovingly remembered by her family, which includes her daughters, Elaina R. (Bob) Wilcox and Tami A. (Cary) Lyle, as well as her grandchildren, Devin Browning and Merrick Wilcox. Joyce also leaves behind her great-grandsons, Cannon Ziehm, Abel Osborn, and Noah Osborn, along with her step-grandson, Corey Lyle, and step-granddaughter, Cara Lyle. She is further survived by her brother, Donald Sowers, her nephew, Eric (Kim) Sowers, plus a host of other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Joy was a talented artist, avid reader, successful hairdresser and cosmetologist, she had a flair for interior design and could transform any space into something spectacular. More importantly Joy was a devoted Christian, she loved the Lord, and she loved her family. everyone who knew Joy was blessed by that relationship, to say to know her was to love her was not a cliché' but a fact. To say she will be missed is an understatement, she was loved dearly by her family. However, we celebrate today honoring her memory and a race well run. She ran her race with perseverance and now is free in Heaven walking on streets paved with gold. Until we meet again, we love you, Mom.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026, preceded by a visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, located at 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
