Joyce E. Stanley

Joyce E. Stanley, age 72, of Buchtel, Ohio, passed away January 20, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was born November 12, 1952, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Raymond E. and Rosemary Rife. Joyce loved playing her slot machines and buying tickets. Joyce and Ted loved traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. She also enjoyed taking care of others and did a lot of volunteer work at the Jacksonville Eagles. Most of all, Joyce loved her kids, grandchildren, and family.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Ted J. Stanley; children, Crystal (Phil) Cochran and Melissa (Scott) Klinebriel; grandchildren, Morgan (Nick) Kennedy, Rachel (Tommy Palmer) Cochran, and Emma Klinebriel; great-grandchildren, Carson Kennedy, Chloe Kennedy, and a baby girl (Palmer) due in July; sister-in-law, Jane (Chuck) Russell; and many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and pet cat, Charlie.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary and Raymond Rife; sister, Rita (Eddie) Dickerson; niece, Jenny Dickerson-Price; nephews, Jason Dickerson and Glenn Scott; sisters-in-law, Mary "Sis" McBride and Judy Scott; and brother-in-law, Bob Stanley.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio, with Pastor Dave Shoemaker officiating. Burial followed at Whitmore Cemetery in Buchtel, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the funeral home prior to the service.
