Joyce Anne Walk

Joyce Anne (Malone) Walk, 84, of Kensington, passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2025. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Nicholas and Ida (Marriotti) Malone, she was a lifelong Kensington resident and a devoted parishioner of St. Paul's Church.
Joyce dedicated 37 years of her career to Aetna, where she was a valued and respected employee, until her retirement. Never one to sit still, she later enjoyed driving for New Britain Transportation, where she took pride in safely transporting Berlin school children each day.
Family was the heart of Joyce's life. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and adored her nieces. Known for her wonderful sense of humor, she could light up any room with her laughter and quick wit.
She leaves behind her three sons, Charles Walk, Jr. and his wife Angelia of North Carolina, James Walk of New Britain, and Dale Walk and his partner Joanna Salati of Kensington; four beloved granddaughters, Molly, Sarah, Allison, and Zoë, with whom she shared a special bond; and two precious great-granddaughters, Stella and Lily. She also leaves the father of her children, Charles Walk of New Britain, her daughter-in-law Rachel Ayers and son-in-law Micheal Mannix, and several adored nieces.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Suzanne Mannix, her sister Lucille Gondolfo, and her brother James Malone.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 14, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 461 Alling Street, Berlin. Burial will be private in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain, where she will be laid to rest in eternal peace with her daughter, Suzanne Mannix.
