Davis Mortuary Service - GretnaJuanita Edith Gasper, age 77, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Friday, November 7, 2025. She was a native and resident of Harvey, LA. Juanita was a graduate of Lincoln High School, and she attended Southern University Baton Rouge and Straight Business College. She retired from Witco after many years of service as a secretary. Juanita was a faithful member of Evening Star Baptist Church, where she sang with the Mass Choir, Women Chorus, and participated with the new members class. Beloved daughter of the late Thomas, Jr. and Gladys Gasper. Granddaughter of the late Victoria Triche, Thomas Gasper, Jr. Olivia Ellison and Benjamin Coleman. Loving sister of Thomas (Roxie) Gasper III, Michael (Janice) Gasper, Sr., Olivia (Gerald K) Jones, Joann (Robert) Daughtery, and the late Graylon Gasper and Brian Gasper. Niece of the late Emelda Coleman, Beulah Gasper Roussell, Martha Gasper Sumner, Louise Gasper Simon, Lillie Fisher Curley, Mildred Fisher McCoy, Forest Custard, Milton Simon, Emile Gasper, Lionel Coleman, Rev. Ernest Roussell, and Julius Simon. Juanita is also survived by her devoted cousin Toni Burras-Boyer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, Progressive Church, New Bethel Baptist Church, Metaphysical Institute of Science, Jehovah Witness Kingdon Hall, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, 817 Grefer Avenue, Harvey, LA on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith Paaul Stewman, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
