Juanita Ann Hilton

Juanita Ann Hilton, 93, of Peoria, IL, died on May 17, 2023, at Proctor Place in Peoria.
She was born on May 20, 1929, to William and Vesta Schulze in Chicago, IL. Juanita married Loren Brown in 1954 and they had three daughters before he died in 1959. In 1962, she married Frank Hilton, and he preceded her in death in 1973. Further preceding her is one sister, Linda Louise Schulze.
Juanita is survived by her three daughters: Bonnie (Doug) Birkey of Groveland, IL, Beverly Donehoo Gibson of Denver, CO, and Barbara Cherry of Peoria, IL; six grandchildren: Laura (Alan) Martinez, Toni (Tim) Yandell, Gabriel (Katie) Birkey, Stacy (Matt) Carter, Andrew (Kim) Donehoo, and Cassi (Miles) Fife; and sixteen great grandchildren.
Juanita (known as Swanee to most) was dedicated to the Lord and to her family. She was a beloved member of Calvary Baptist Bible Church for 61 years where she served as treasurer and Pioneer Girls leader. Juanita loved more than anything to get together and spend time with family and friends. She was known for her sunny and sweet disposition.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Groveland Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery in Groveland, IL.
Also on Thursday, May 25, 2023, but at Calvary Baptist Bible Church in Peoria, IL, a visitation will be held at 3:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow the visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the church. Dinner will be served after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Bible Church or Proctor Place Senior Living.
