Juanita Elaine Lavespere, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Denison, Texas, on Monday, June 23, 2025.
A Family Night will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 West Main Street, Denison, Texas 75020. Following the visitation, Elaine will be cremated per her wishes.
Elaine was born on October 9, 1947, in Elsberry, Missouri, to the late Michael Carl Strobl Sr. and Juanita Monell "Brown" Strobl. She pursued a career in nursing and graduated from Grayson College in the 1990s as a Registered Nurse. Elaine served with dedication at Wilson N. Jones Hospital as a charge nurse before becoming the beloved school nurse at Sherman High School, where she worked until retirement. In her later years, she embraced the role she cherished most, being a full-time grandmother.
Elaine found joy in spending time with her family and friends. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to crochet, quilt, and was an active member of her church community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Michael Strobl Jr.; and her sisters, Julie Ann Chapman, Mary Shaw, and Phyllis Dryden.
Elaine is survived by her loving children: Michelle and husband Charles Grant of Durant, Oklahoma; Bryan Turner of Denison, Texas; Adam Turner of Dallas, Texas; Nick and wife Starla Turner of Denison, Texas; and Kyle Lavespere of Denison, Texas. She is also survived by her sister Micky and husband Dicky Henderson of Clarksville, Missouri; and brothers David and wife Jane of Forestburg, Texas; Dale Strobl of Apache, Oklahoma; and Vincent Strobl of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Elaine leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Adam, Landon Charles, Landon Elijah, Hannah, Ashley, Kristyn, Allison, Alexis, Josh, Jayce, Abigail, Andrew, Camilla, Dakota, and Hayden; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and countless friends who will miss her deeply.
Elaine's life was one of service, warmth, and compassion. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
