Judi Goldman, nee Holleb, age 87, of Riverwoods, raised her family in Morton Grove, beloved wife for 66 years of Bill Goldman; loving mother of Mike (Karla) Goldman, Bob (Anne) Goldman, and Debbie Milling; adored grandmother of Josh (Emily), Adam (Shelby), David, Lauren (Konrad), Joey, Ben, and Annelise; proud great-grandmother of Ellie, Riley, and Noah; devoted daughter of the late Seymour and the late Goldie Holleb; cherished sister of Betsy (late Jack) Karp and Nancy Kellman; treasured aunt, sister-in-law, and friend to many.
Judi was the true matriarch of the entire Goldman clan, and she cherished bringing generations of the family together for holiday dinners and other special occasions. Judi and Bill were avid travelers, with family trips to Florida, Utah, Wisconsin and other states, but they especially enjoyed traveling to Europe. Judi's favorite destinations were the English countryside and Italy, as she always had a fondness for all things Italian. Judi was very active in the local community, particularly her many years of participation in the Northwest Suburban Jewish Congregation Sisterhood and her dedicated service to certain child-focused charities. She loved playing Mahjong and getting together and keeping in touch with her close friends. Judi was also an avid reader and enjoyed tackling the daily crossword puzzle. Later in life, Judi and Bill spent their winters in Arizona, where she could escape the frigid Chicago weather. Judi will be remembered lovingly by her family and friends.
Service Sunday, 10:00 a.m., at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove (1 Block N. of Lake Cook Rd.). Judi's service will be livestreamed on her page at www.goldmanfuneralgroup.com. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, www.luriechildrens.org or the charity of your choice.
