Judith Barrows Obituary
Judith "Judy" Joann (Weir) Barrows, 82, passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2024.
Judy graduated from Concannon High School in 1960. She then attended Indiana State University where she would receive her master's in education. Judy worked as a teacher for 40 years. She won the Golden Apple Award in 1989. She spent thirty years working with the youth at Gibault school. She was admired as a teacher and mentor.
She is preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Bertha Weir, brothers, Raymond, Thomas, Jerry, and Richard; sisters, Charlotte Frazier and Bertha "Babe" Thompson, as well as two nieces and nephews.,
She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Keegan, grandchildren, Lindsay (Will) Higgins and Tyler Keegan; great-grandchildren, Emma, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Charlotte; two sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Judy was blessed to have friends who felt like family, Linda Lohr and Patricia Unger.
The family would like to thank the staff at Springhill Village for their outstanding care of our mother, grandmother, and friend. A special thank you to Tammy Clinkenbeard and Josh Epling for the love and support you showed her over the last few years. She loved you both.
As per Judy's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gibault Children's Services.
