Judith Ellen Evans, of Wadsworth, 92 passed away peacefully October 9, 2025. Judy was born May 28, 1933 in Oak Park, IL to the late George and Marie (nee Johnson) Hammel.
Judy is survived by her husband of 69 years as of Sept. 1, 2025, Elwood Evans. Children; Debra Evans Rudolph, Cheryl (Michael) Kaufmann, Richard (Melissa) Evans. Grandchildren; Douglas (Natalie), Deanna (Rand), Ellyn (Jamey), Rosalyn (Dustin), Elizabeth (Brandon) and Matthew. Great Grandchildren; Addison, Gracelynn, Luke, Charlotte, Maisie and Miles. Judy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends who love her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her brother George and sisters Leila and Sally. Nephew TK Warfield.
Judy was totally devoted to her family and husband. As a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Home Economics she used those skills to the fullest. She loved sewing, baking, cooking, canning, and making a home filled with love. She loved to play Bridge, go on Camping trips, reading, work on miniatures, host get together's and collect many, many things. She immersed herself in all her children's activities and was proud of their accomplishments. Judy's great adventure was living in Sierra Leone, Africa for 2 years with her husband and 3 small children. She also loved traveling through Europe with her mother on the return trip home.
She was a long time devoted member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she served on many committees, a member of the Eastern Star for 25 years, she volunteered time to the Girl Scouts and Wadsworth Band Boosters. While at Purdue University she joined the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and served as Rush chairman.
The family would like to thank the staff at Copley Heath Center for all their care for the past 8 years. Also would like to thank Dignity Hospice for their care and comfort leading up to Judith's transition in Christ.
The family has planned a private memorial service in Cincinnati on October 25, 2025. In memory of Judy contributions may be made to Picklin' for a Cure. Please visit website: https://secure.ggiv.com/for/pickleball2025/

Woody and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Working for you, Woody, years ago, I know how you loved your family. It´s always hard to say our earthly goodbyes to those we love but Judy has a new home in heaven. God bless you.
