Judith Lee Davidson Fisher
November 8, 1939 – September 9, 2025
Judith Lee Davidson Fisher passed away peacefully after a lingering illness at The Eastern Star Care Facility. She was 85.
Born on November 8, 1939, to the late Forrest and Helen (Lonsinger) Davidson, Judy grew up in Millwood, Ohio, and graduated from Howard High School in 1957. She later settled in
Mount Vernon, Ohio, where she was a dedicated and valued employee of Cooper Industries for over 43 years. She also served in several roles within the community, including a long standing member of the Eastern Star Lodge in Bladensburg, and the Knox County Historical Society in Mt Vernon.
Judy's bond with her former coworkers remained strong. She took great pride in organizing and keeping the Cooper Industries alumni group connected, planning reunions and gatherings that kept friendships alive for years.
Following her retirement, Judy embraced life to the fullest, spending her winters in Rockport, Texas, continuing a cherished family tradition and quickly becoming known as the life of the party. She was a natural leader amongst her friends there, organizing activities and bringing people together with her signature energy and warmth. She never met a stranger. With a gift for conversation and a quick wit, Judy could connect with anyone, putting people at ease with her warmth, honesty, and humor. Her directness was always delivered with heart, making her a favorite among friends and family.
A woman of style and flair, with an impeccable fashion sense, Judy had a lifelong love for fashion and maintained an extensive clothing and jewelry collection, and knew all the dos and don'ts of social etiquette. She was always ready to dress for any occasion-whether a formal event, a ladies' tea, or a country western dance. She was a gracious and skilled hostess and had an extensive cookbook collection, from which selected recipes were planned and prepared. She was also an expert bartender, and took pride in mixing the perfect drink-especially her renowned margaritas.
She was also an avid crossword puzzler, a fierce Trivial Pursuit player, and a thoughtful planner who delighted in organizing special outings for visiting friends and family. She loved to travel, not only across the US but also visiting 16 different countries! Her memories of places and people visited near and far were cherished.
Judy was predeceased by her parents in 2000, and her beloved little brother Joe in 2024. She is survived by her son, Rick (Sheila), and her daughter, Jetty (Don) Price, as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews as well as other extended family members. A special thank you to The Ohio Eastern Star Home and Capital City Hospice for the loving care they gave Judy and especially to her dear cousin, Patty (Walter) Seward, whose lifelong faithful care and companionship were always a gift to Judy, particularly in her final years.
Judy's vibrant spirit, sense of fun, genuine love for people and deep connections to those around her will leave a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 16th from 11am-1pm at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lasater Chapel, with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at 1 pm. A light lunch will follow the services. A private family interment will be held at a later date at the Mt Zion Cemetery outside of Bladensburg.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions can be made to the Glenwood #303 Order of the Eastern Star in Bladensburg, the Knox County Historical Society or the Owl Creek Conservancy, both in Mt Vernon or to the
