Judith Ann Flemer

Judith (Judy) Ann Flemer passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on December 23, 2023 in St Joseph's Hospital of Park Rapids. Judy was born February 4, 1944 in Washington, DC to Thelma and William Weber. She was a traveler, both in her youth as a military daughter and through her later years, having lived in many places including Maryland, Germany, Maine, Florida, New York, and Vermont but spent the last 15 years in Nevis MN.
Judy attended St Johns College of Annapolis, MD, graduated from Iona College of NY and later completed graduate work at St. Michaels College in Vermont. Besides raising four children with 18 years between them, she was a teacher in Vermont and Minnesota. She always had a love of learning that she instilled in her children. She especially enjoyed being in nature, hiking and wildlife watching, and in her later years enjoyed traveling in her RV. She was also an avid gardener and an organic cook.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edward Flemer; her sister, Diana Weber; her four children, Charles Sadler of MA, Edie (Bill) Evarts of Park Rapids, MN, James (Becky) Flemer of CO, and Beverly Flemer of NY; as well as four granddaughters, Zoey, Cadyn, Maggie, and Ellie; and her nephews Billy and Timothy Weber. Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, William Weber.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the CHI St. Joseph's Health Foundation and the Alzheimer's Association.
