Judith Geeck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Directors - Utica on Apr. 11, 2025.
Judith A. Geeck of Hale, Michigan, formerly of Shelby Township, Michigan, passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 79. Judy was born on September 19, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to Bob and Joyce Schaffer. Judy married the love of her life, Bryce Geeck on October 3, 1969 in Shelby Township, Michigan.
Judy had an infectious smile that could light up a room. With that smile, her sense of fashion, and a "willingness to help everyone" personality, this made her memorable to everyone she met. The love she shared with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was nothing short of amazing. The funny stories and sayings will forever live in the hearts of her family. Anyone she was close to knew that she also loved to shop, anywhere, anytime and anyplace. Another of her loves was gardening and flowers. Above all of this, Judy demonstrated an incredible ability to fight through challenges she encountered. Although she fought an incredible battle against her medical challenges, she could fight no longer but is now pain free.
Judy is the treasured wife for 55+ years of Bryce; the cherished mother of Brian (Michelle) Duford, Debbie (Richard) Pugh, Kirk Duford, and Wendy (Fred) Hamilton; the adored grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and the loving sister of Paul R. (Cindy) Schaffer.
Judy's family will receive friends on Sunday, May 4, 2025, memorial gathering from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her celebration of life service at 5:00 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica. Memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 or to americanheart.org.
