Judith K. Harmon

Judith K. Harmon, 84, of Hanover, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital. Born in Burlington, NC, she was a daughter of the late Broadus McManus and Helen Sturgis. Judith was the beloved wife of Kenneth Wayne Harmon, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.

A graduate of Catonsville High School, Judith went on to work as a medical office manager for many years before retiring. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf. Throughout her life, she found joy in cooking, playing mahjong, sewing, and taking trips to the beach. She was an active and devoted member of St. David's United Church of Christ in Hanover.

Judith was loved by everyone who knew her. She never had a negative word to say about anyone and was always looking for ways to help others. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all whose lives she touched.

In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Judith leaves behind her son, Steven Harmon and wife Sandy; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Harmon, Ashley Brammer, and Sierra Zajdel; her brother, Robert Sturgis and wife Donna; her 2 sisters, Janice Sturgis and Sharon Newberg and husband Richard; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Dennis Harmon; a brother, Don McManus; and a sister, Nancy Schickler.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
