In loving memory of our mother, Judith Ann (Judy) Holmes, age 85, of Polo, MO, formerly of Litchfield, IL, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at The Grove at Kirkwood in Kirkwood, MO.
Born in Litchfield, IL, on January 26, 1940, the daughter of the late Fred Beecher and Ruth Ione (Williams) Striplin.
Our mom was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a source of inspiration to us all, and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Growing up, mom was always there for us; she was a woman of strong faith, and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model that we'll always look up to.
Judy is survived by: 1 son; Terry (Linda) Crawford of Granite City, IL 1 daughter; Tracy (Tim) Wilkinson of Fairview Heights, IL 1 daughter-in-law; Kim Crawford of Polo, MO 7 grandchildren; JJ Crawford, Chris Crawford, Lauren Wilkinson, Cory (Jasmine) Wilkinson, Shelby Wilkinson, Erin (Matt) Schindel, and Robbin Crawford. 6 great grandchildren; Ryan Dix, Chloe Dix, Oliver Wilkinson, Lyla Wilkinson, Jaycee Wilkinson and Boston Schindel. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Fred and Russell (Bus) Striplin, one twin sister, Jo Ann (Jody) Crawford, husband Joseph Holmes, and one son, Todd Crawford.
Mom, you will always be in our hearts. We'll never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
