Judith Ann Koop, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on December 14, 2025 in Porterville, California at the age of 86.
She was born on February 12, 1939, to Roy and Thelma Sanders in Madera, California. She married the love of her life, Gary Koop in 1957, and together they raised two wonderful children, Dale Koop and Roger Koop.
Judith attended elementary schools in Porterville Unifed School Distrct (PUSD) and was a graduate of Porterville High School. She later went to work for PUSD as an Instructional Aid, and dedicated many years inspiring and educating students, before retiring in the late 90's. She continued volunteering at various schools after retirement.
Judith was very involved in her children and grandchildren's activities, always providing encouragement and support. She cherished times spent with her family and made countless memories that will last forever. Her feisty spirit lives on in the hearts of her close friends and family that she leaves behind.
Judith was preceded in death by her loving husband Gary Koop (1994), her parents, Roy and Thelma Sanders, her brother Eldon Sanders, her sister Sally Koop, her son Dale Koop, daughter in law Elizabeth Koop and grandson Cody Koop.
Survivors include her son, Roger Koop (Tamra), three grandchildren, John Koop (Liz) of Washington, Kyle Koop (Kayla) of Arizona, and Michaela Koop of Porterville, two great granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable donations to SVMC Roger S. Good Cancer Treatment Center, 465 W. Putnam Ave., Porterville, California 93257, or your charity of choice.
