Smith Mortuary - Derby ChapelLori Ann Dickerson Koop, 62, lifelong Derby resident, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026 with her husband by her side, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Lori was born on July 24, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas to Bernice and John Dickerson. She graduated from Derby High School in 1981 and worked at Commerce Bank for 37 years.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Keith Koop, Jr and son, Brandon Dickerson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Karen.
Lori loved spending her weekends at Marion County Lake with her friends and taking her annual trip to Key Largo, Florida. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby, KS 67037.
