Judith V. Piazza, 82, of New Haven, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2025. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Piazza. Born April 21, 1943, daughter of the late Philip and Elvira Possidente Votto..

Judy attended Sacred Heart Academy and Mount Ida College before dedicating many years to her community, working at First National Bank in Hamden and later joining the family business as a pharmacy technician at Beirne's Pharmacy, where she worked alongside her beloved mother, Elvira, and her brother, Phil. She was also a devoted Eucharistic Minister at St. Bernadette's Church, where she served her faith community with grace and dedication.

Above all, Judy's greatest joy was her family. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, always open to family and friends who gathered around her table to enjoy her famous tomato sauce and the variety of pasta dinners she lovingly prepared. Some of her fondest memories were traveling with her husband, Edward, hosting Christmas Eve dinners that brought everyone together, and celebrating at the annual Possidente Family Reunion every Fourth of July. She treasured her time with her Mahjong ladies and never missed her nightly ritual of watching Jeopardy.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Jr. and Philip (Michelle); her grandchildren, Alyssa, Eddie, Ethan, Jessica, and Giovanni; her great-granddaughter, Amora; her sister, Louise (Robert) Ferrando; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. Judy was predeceased by her devoted husband, Edward; her brother, Philip, her mother, Elvira; and her father, Philip.

Family and friends may call at Maresca & Sons Funeral Home, 592 Chapel Street, New Haven on Sunday, November 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday November 24, at 10 a.m. with friends asked to go directly to St. Bernadette's Church in St Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, 385 Townsend Avenue, New Haven, followed by interment at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven.
