Judith Lei Aloha Steele,

64 Of Louisville passed away on Sunday February 15, 2026, at Kindred Hospital after a long battle of illness.

Judy was born to Margaret (Vicky) Bryon Rego and the late Lawrence S Rego in Honolulu HI.

She was a devout catholic and a loving wife to Jeff Steele, she was a dedicated miliary spouse and a caring mother.

Judith loved cooking and making her home for everyone on the holidays, she also enjoyed listening to her favorite music and writing.

Judy graduated from Westport High School after most of her schooling in Henry County.

She also attended The University of Louisville and Okaloosa Walton Community College in Florida.

After college she worked as a bank Teller and become a preschool teacher.

Judy was met at the gates of heaven by her father Lawrence Rego and her daughter Mary Elizabeth Steele (Mary Beth).

She leaves behind her Loving husband of 44 years Jeffery F Steele; daughters, Amy Melissa Matcalf and Sarah Katherine Hicker.

Judy also leaves behind her brothers, Steven Rego (Yusan), David Rego (Vivian), Daniel Rego (Colleen), and John S Rego (Karen); and sister Barbra Schutts.

She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews Jenny, Amber Danielle, Amber Marie, Alicia, Justin (God son), Maxwell, Hannah, Jennie, Sami and Benjamin.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday March 4th at 2:00pm at Calvary Cemetery.

The family ask to meet at Pearson Funeral Home on Breckenridge Lane at 1:00pm for prayers and to follow for the graveside service.
