Judith Ann (Oslund) Uran

Judith Ann Uran, age 85, passed away on December 23, 2025.

Judy was born on December 8, 1940, in Mora, Minnesota, the only daughter of Marvin and Laura (Greenwald) Oslund.

Judy graduated from Mora High School and married Roland Uran on October 31, 1959. Roland and Judy eventually settled in Esko. Judy had a deep passion for flowers and music. A gifted musician, Judy shared her talents as a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church playing the organ and piano, singing in choir, and directing youth musicals. She also sang with the Duluth Symphony Chorale and Autumn Voices. Judy performed with Jim Melde's Big Band, Park Avenue, The Broken Beats and graced the stage in Esko community theater, including a memorable role as Dolly in Hello, Dolly!. For many years Judy taught piano lessons out of her home and later worked for the Don Waller Insurance Agency.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland, her brother Joe, and her great-grandson Micah Jax Jahnke.

Judy's legacy lives on through her children Michael (Ronell) Uran, Susan (Clark) Jahnke, and Pamela Uran; her six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, with one more blessing on the way; brothers Dean Oslund and Dennis Oslund; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Esko. A time for fellowship and lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
