Francisca Uran, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at the age of 91 in the comfort of her home in Wixom, under hospice care. She was born on March 9, 1932, in Colombia, to her loving parents, José and Luisa. Francisca married her husband Alberto, and together they shared 51 years of a beautiful and enduring marriage until his passing on January 1, 2011.
Francisca was a remarkable woman with a heart of gold and an unwavering devotion to her faith. Her life was a testament to her deep spiritual connection, as she immersed herself in prayer and worship. Her faith was not just a part of her life but the very core of her being.
Beyond her dedication to her faith, Francisca displayed a servant's heart. She was a caring and loving soul who always put others before herself. She faced many hardships in her youth, and she faced them lovingly and courageously.
Francisca was known for her intuition and her intelligence. She also possessed a warm and infectious sense of humor, brightening the lives of those around her. Her intuition allowed her to offer guidance and support to family and friends, making her a cherished confidante and source of wisdom.
In her youth, Francisca embarked on a spiritual journey by entering the convent. While she initially felt called to this vocation, she ultimately found that her path lay elsewhere. She returned to her family and continued to serve God through her daily life and unwavering faith.
Francisca leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and selflessness that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community. Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration, reminding us to live a life filled with love, devotion, and kindness.
Surviving are five devoted children, Ana Uran, Luis (Jeanne) Uran, Olga Lopez, Adriana (Luigi) Milani, and Rodrigo (Sandra) Uran; nine grandchildren, Marco Tulio, Esteban, Katerina, Fabien, Aniel, Americo, Luigi, Luca and Marcello; a great-grandson, Ezra; and siblings, Angela and Maria Mercedes; and numerous nieces and nephews in both the U.S. and Colombia. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Luisa, Humberto, Roberto, Rodrigo, Hernando, and José Bernardo. She will also be remembered by those who saw her as a "surrogate" mother, Lucia, Piedad, and Ligia. In addition, she had many friends in Colombia and the US with whom she shared a mutual and endearing love.
Francisca's interment is planned for a mausoleum in Colombia with her beloved husband Alberto.
