Judith Chastant White
September 26, 1947 – December 14, 2025
Judith Chastant White, a beloved mother, sister, nurse, and devoted friend to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the age of 78, following a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Judith was the cherished daughter of the late Eugene and Geraldine Chastant. She carried the warmth and spirit of her hometown throughout her life, later making Panama City Beach her beloved home for the past 15 years, where she found deep joy in the beauty of the Gulf Coast.
Judith dedicated 30 meaningful years to her career as a registered nurse, beginning her service at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Her compassion, skill, and quiet strength touched countless lives in the healing profession and beyond.
Known for her incredible kindness and beauty-both inside and out-Judith was selfless to her core. She possessed an enormous love for animals and nature, often finding peace in the simple wonders of the world around her. Among her greatest joys were watching classic movies, cooking for those she loved, tending her garden, fishing on calm mornings, and celebrating the magic of Christmas.
A devout Catholic and faithful Christian, Judith lived her faith with grace and lived by its teachings of love, generosity, and service to others.
She is survived by her devoted son, Bradley White, and his wife, Shannon; her cherished stepdaughters, Laura and Jan Marie; her loving sister, Deborah; and a large, wonderful circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family who were blessed by her presence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Geraldine Chastant.
A funeral service to celebrate Judith's life will be held at Kent Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Judith's light, laughter, and loving heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in the peace and presence of the Lord she served so faithfully.
