VIRGINIA BEACH, VA- Judith Witt, a remarkable soul and cherished member of her community, she passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 84 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, on April 17, 1941, Judith lived a life filled with creativity, love, and dedication.

Judith devoted her career to nurturing young minds as a school teacher, inspiring students above the third grade with her warmth, intelligence, and passion for learning. Her impact on countless children was profound, as she instilled a love for education and a curiosity about the world that extended far beyond the classroom.

An artist at heart, Judith found solace and expression in her paintings. Her artwork, characterized by its imaginative and dream-inspired qualities, resonated with all who had the privilege to view it. She painted not what she saw, but what she felt and dreamt, and through this unique lens, she brought vibrant, imagination to life on canvas.

Beyond her professional and artistic pursuits, Judith was a loving wife to her husband, John, a devoted mother to her children, James M. Vermillion, and Mary Meghan Vermillion Donahue, and a dear grandmother to her granddaughters, Matty Donahue and Morgan Donahue. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her legacy also includes a host of friends who were touched by her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.

Judith's life will be honored with a graveside service on January 4, 2026, at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA. A celebration of life will be held on February 22nd, at 12 PM at Tempt Restaurant and Lounge in Virginia Beach.
