Judy Missimer Bathurst, 71, of Lansdale, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the wife of Robert Bathurst.
Born in Pottstown, Judy was the daughter of the late William and Jean (Schroeder) Missimer. She graduated from Pottstown High School in 1971, where she excelled in swimming and softball. She later coached young swimmers for many years.
Judy was a devout Christian whose faith guided her life. She shared a lifelong friendship with her pen pal, Paula, from Finland, which began in 1963 when they were 10 years old. She loved dancing to oldies, crafting, cheering for the Phillies, and spending time with her family and cats.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; her children, Christopher Rawlings (husband of Megan Rossi) and Jennifer Maximenko (wife of Christian Russell); stepchildren, Justin, Krista, and Stephanie; eight grandchildren; brothers, Michael and Tom Missimer; sisters, Linda Heater and Bobbi Silsley; her pen pal Paula; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC, 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Visitation will be from 10:30–11:15 AM at the funeral home.
