Judy Gilkey

Julia "Judy" Kaye Adcock Gilkey, age 77, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Baptist Deaconess in Madisonville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shearon officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 11:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Gilkey was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on October 31, 1947, the daughter of the late Douglas Adcock and Jermie Morgan. Judy was a realtor and auctioneer for Ken Morris Real Estate and Auction, Century 21 Real Estate and later Town & Country Realty. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David Edward Gilkey in 2023; her brother, Douglas Adcock, Jr.; and her sister, Carloyn Hudson.
Survivors include her son, Scott Gilkey and his wife Tiffany of Cerulean; her daughter Lori Gilkey Blakeley and her husband Jason of Hopkinsville; her sister, Kathy Stanifer of Martinsville, IN and her grandchildren, Taylor Lynn Blakeley, Jesse David Gilkey, and Addison Grace Gilkey.
