Judy Ann Kukuk

Judith "Judy" Ann Kukuk passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 6, 2025, just 6 days before her 80th birthday.
Judy was born on January 12, 1945 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to William and Edith Marie (nee Bellman) Robertson. Judy graduated from Utica High School in 1963 and went on to study cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser until she retired in 2000. On March 7, 1964, she married the love of her life, Larry Kukuk, at Zion United Church of Christ in Mount Clemens. They shared 53 wonderful years together before Larry's passing in 2017. Judy lived her entire life within 24-27 mile roads in Macomb Township. She was a member of Macomb Township Lioness and Sterling Heights Lioness-Lions Club for a total of 44 years; a life-long member with her Bellman family being a founding family of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb Township and volunteered her time helping with Penrickton Center for Blind Children and Beaumont Silent Children Fund. Judy was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Award and The Ralph Lynam Silent Children's Award. When she wasn't volunteering her time, she enjoyed crocheting and watching the Hallmark Channel. Judy loved to travel and was never on an adventure without her dear friend and sidekick, Fran Black. The love she had for her family was undeniable and her passing has left a void in their hearts. She will be greatly missed.
Judy is survived by her children, Lori (Robert) Herbert and David (Elizabeth) Kukuk; grandchildren, Stephanie (Thomas) Stevenson, Sarah Herbert, Justin (Megan Misch) Herbert, Evan (Maddy Neese), Jake Kukuk, Rachel Kukuk, Rachel Lee, Brady Lee and Kendall Lee; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay (Richard) Depew and Nancy (Ken) Miller; sister-in-law, Joyce Kraatz; brother-in-law, Eldon Kukuk; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Judy preceded in death by her husband, Larry; brothers-in-law, Milton Kraatz and Roger Kukuk; sister-in-law, Donna Kukuk and parents.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Hauss and Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb and Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran, 17051 24 Mile Road, Macomb Township. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial will take place immediately following the service in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Macomb Township. You are welcome to join the family for a luncheon at Lori's home following the committal service and burial.
