Judy (Bonar) Clarke, Velimirovic, born on December 10, 1940, in
Moundsville, WV, peacefully passed away on April 29, 2024, in
Wheeling, WV. At the age of 83, Judy departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and adventure.
Throughout her life, Judy worked as an Electronics Technician for phones and cellular devices, showcasing her technical expertise and dedication. Her passion for travel took her to various corners of the world, from China to Africa, Alaska to California, Michigan to Arizona, Iowa, and her beloved West Virginia.
An accomplished musician, Judy played the organ and piano, often performing with quartets. Her talents extended to the dance floor, where she shone as a Ballroom Dancer, earning multiple awards for her grace and skill. She further honed her dance abilities at the Arthur Murray School of Dance in Arizona.
Known for her compassionate heart, Judy never turned away animals in need, becoming a dedicated foster caregiver, even for raccoons. Her love for animals was unwavering, reflecting her kind and nurturing spirit.
Judy was a vibrant soul, a fearless woman who embraced life's adventures wholeheartedly. A member of the Ash Avenue Church of God and actively involved in the Ladies' Group, she found solace and community in her faith.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron Clarke, in 2016, as well as her parents, Byron and Wilma Bonar, Judy leaves behind a cherished legacy.She is also preceeded in death by her loving companion and faithful friend, her dog Sierra. She is survived by her loving daughter Jill (Steve) Joralman, son Jonathan Clarke and Rusty (Judi) Clarke, sister Kathleen (late Jerry) Zien, brother Jerry (Karen) Bonar, lifelong friend Samir Ouda, bonus son Tony Whitlatch, and bonus granddaughter Marli Whitlatch.
Her memory will also be cherished by grandchildren Keith, Clint, Angela, and Clayton, great-grandchildren Katie, Hanna, Sarah, Jordanne, Broady, Audrey, Austin, and great-great-grandchildren Scarlett, Rhett, Aiden, Beau, Paislee, Hadley, and Christian.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, May 11, 2024, for a memorial gathering from 10:30 am until time of memorial service at 11 am at the Ash Avenue Church of God.
In honoring Judy's zest for life, love for music (especially jazz) and dance, and unwavering compassion, we celebrate the remarkable journey of a brave and adventurous woman who touched the hearts of many. May she rest in eternal peace.
