William G. "Bill" Nice

William "Bill" G. Nice, 79, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Cleveland Clinic, Avon Hospital, Ohio.

He was born in Wheeling on February 20, 1946, a son of the late Ross Robert and Bertha Almeda (Wiles) Nice. Bill was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his career as a roofer and window washer with Ohio Valley Roofing, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to quality.

Bill's life was enriched by his love of golfing and bowling, pursuits that brought him great joy and camaraderie. He found passion in working on his cars and collecting motorcycles throughout the years. Bill was always there to lend a helping hand to family members in need, embodying the true spirit of generosity and support.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Nice; a granddaughter, Amy Renee and 15 siblings, Richard, Lynn, Bob, Bud, Carty, Lou, Raymond, John, Margaret, Darlene, Rosie and two sets of infant twins.

Bill leaves behind a family who will forever remember his kind heart and unwavering strength. He is survived by his four devoted children, Amy (Tim) French, P.J. Mitcham, Vickie (Dave) Gunter and Bill (Maureen) Nice; as well as many adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to honor Bill's life at services to be held on Friday, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CARE Funeral and Cremation, 3828 Jacob St., Wheeling. Interment will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
