Judy Darlene Zant, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023, in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 81. Born on November 27, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Judy lived a life full of love, laughter, and a passion for adventure.
Judy married the love of her life, Joe Edward Zant, on June 26, 1958, in Big Lake, Texas. Their union was a testament to their enduring love, and wherever Judy was, Joe was never far behind. Their bond was unshakeable, and they lived a life full of shared experiences and mutual respect. Judy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe, her parents John and Phoebe McCall and her daughter-in-law, Sheila Maner Zant.
Judy was a devoted mother to her sons, Tommy Zant and his wife, Sheila, of Stephenville, Texas, and James Raymond Zant and his wife, Jenny, of Shiner, Texas. She was a loving grandmother to Wacey Zant and his wife, Allie, of Morgan Mill, Texas, and Laramie Zant of Ft. Worth, Texas. Judy is also survived by her brother, Mike McCall, of Dallas, Texas.
Judy was known for her adventurous spirit and her love for Las Vegas. She was a regular competitor in slot machine competitions and was known for her remarkable luck. Her courage was evident in her passion for clay shooting, a hobby she pursued with enthusiasm and skill. Judy was a selfless woman, always putting the needs of her family and friends before her own. Her vibrant personality, infectious laughter, and unwavering courage will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Judy's life was not without its challenges, but she faced them with bravery and grace. Her battle with dementia was a testament to her strength and resilience. Despite the difficulties she faced, Judy remained a beacon of positivity and hope for her family and friends.
Judy's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. Her adventurous spirit, and her selfless love for her family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Judy's life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of the human spirit, and the enduring bonds of family. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her loved ones.
