Julia Condra Obituary
She was born November 16, 1933, in Alabama, daughter of the late Marcus Houston and the late Beatrice White Houston.
Together with her husband, they owned and operated Condra Farms and Mulberry Flying Service where they served the Mulberry Community for over 20 years. Without a doubt, there are four things that Kate loved the
most; her family, traveling, shopping, and "The King" George Strait. Later in life, Legos and My Little Pony became interests of hers, courtesy of her great-grandchildren. Kate had several nicknames, but the one she cherished
the most was "Nana". She spent much of her time curled up with a good book, putting together an intricate puzzle, or watching sports. She was affectionately known at the ball field as "Mama Condra", and rarely missed a
Braves game on tv. As a lifelong member of Ivy Creek United Methodist Church, she spent many Sundays serving her Lord and Savior.
Surviving are her Son, Robert "Topper" Condra Jr.; Daughters, Julie (Joe) Rives, Robin Condra; Grandchildren, Rhoda (Chad) Ard, Samantha (David) Rhein, Katie (Jason) Jones, Robert Condra, III; Great-Grandchildren Lauren Ard, Caleb Ard, Christopher Rhein, Brady Rhein, Wesley Jones; Sister, Laura Condra, Brothers, George Houston, Marcus Houston; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert H Condra, Sr.; Brother, A.C. Houston; Sisters-in-law, Joyce Houston, Liz Houston, Peggy Houston; Brother-in-law, James Condra; Sisters, Mary Emily Houston,
Cenora (Gene) Thacker; Father, Marcus Houston; Mother, Beatrice Houston.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church.
Services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church with Dr. Lee R. Carter officiating.
Interment will follow in Ivy Creek Methodist Cemetery, Autaugaville, Alabama.
Martin Funeral Home directing.
