Julia Anne Confer, 87, of Mill Hall, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Julia lived a life steeped in faith, love, and family. Julia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald L. Confer Sr.; son, Donald L. Confer Jr.; and two grandchildren, Lawrence E. Confer and Rebecca E. Peck.
Julia was the heart of her home. She dedicated her life to raising her six children, Donald Jr. (Donny), Daniel (Danny), Penny, Tammy, Suzann (Suzy), and Mary, with unwavering care, compassion, and wisdom.
Her nurturing spirit extended to her fifteen grandchildren: Lawrence (Elliot), Carson Jr. (Cj), Michael, Tyler, Megan, Coleen, Kaleb, Quentin, Lauran, Rebecca, Robert, Seth, Jacob, Samuel, David, and her eighteen (and counting) great-grandchildren, each one a cherished branch of her legacy.
She found joy in the written word, where she gave voice to her heart and beliefs. An excerpt from Another Answered Prayer, by Julia:
"This mother walks with God and asks his help every day. This mom hopes she has raised her children right. As they all turn to God. And their children follow in their footsteps. It makes a mom proud to think she has done a good job."
Following Julia's wishes, there will be no public services. Her immediate family will honor her memory privately and with grace, living life to the fullest, just as she would have wanted. Her faith, her gentle wisdom, and her boundless love will live on in those who knew her and in those who continue to walk the path she helped light.
Arrangements are under the direction of Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
