In Loving Memory of Julia Cervantes Gonzales April 12, 1920 – June 2025
We gather with love and gratitude to honor the remarkable life of Julia Cervantes Gonzales, who lived 105 years filled with joy, warmth, and unbreakable family bonds before reuniting with her loved ones in heaven. Born on April 12, 1920, to Zacarias Silos Gonzales and Virginia Cervantes Gonzales, Julia grew up as one of thirteen siblings in a home overflowing with laughter and togetherness. Julia's life was defined by her devotion to family. She shared an extraordinary bond with her sister, Mary, living side by side in their family home on Reynolds Street. Their inseparable companionship was a shining example of love and loyalty. Julia cherished her father, Zacarias, carrying his memory in her heart throughout her life. Julia is survived by her siblings: Julian C. Gonzales, Juan C. Gonzales, Eduvigen C. Gonzales, Reymundo C. Gonzales, Manuel C. Gonzales, and Maria C. Gonzales. Though Julia and Mary had no children, they embraced their roles as beloved aunts, showering their nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews with affection and playful spirit. Julia's love created a legacy that will endure across generations, etched in the hearts of all who knew her. In 2024, Julia's 104th birthday was a vibrant celebration, marked by the presence of her 101-year-old cousin, Ramona, who traveled from San Antonio to share in the joy. Their reunion, filled with stories and laughter, reflected Julia's gift for uniting loved ones. Julia's life was a symphony of kindness, strength, and devotion. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who were touched by her light. Services Visitation will be Friday, June 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., St. Mary's Cemetery. We invite all to join us in celebrating Julia's beautiful life. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Julia, please visit our floral store.
