Julia Nyikos Obituary

In 1950 she married Laszlo Nyikos and together they fled Hungary during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, settling in Westchester County, New York. After a time, they moved to New Jersey where they worked as opticians in their own optometry office.
Retirement brought them to Wilmington, NC where Julia enjoyed the many beaches in the area. Following the passing of Laszlo in 2001, Julia moved to Yonkers, NY. Two years ago she moved to Mahopac to be closer to her son, Peter and his wife, Virginia Nicholson who survive.
Private cremation services were held earlier.
