Julia Nelson Tankersley of Salisbury, MD, will be fondly remembered for her unwavering faith and love for her family. She was born on January 16, 1937, in Crisfield, MD, and peacefully passed away on July 17, 2024, in Salisbury.
Julia's legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Carl Tankersley, her loving children, Carl Tankersley (Wendy), Lori Brewster (David), and Jeri Bozman (Robert), as well as her cherished grandchildren - Kelsey Zagami (Ben), Riley Bozman, Sonya Brewster, Davidalan Brewster, Amber Kusina (Rob), Adam Tankersley (Rosanna), Abby Buecker (Matt), and Rob Bozman (Angela), and 8 great-grandchildren.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Mark Nelson and Laura Adams, and her brother Mark Nelson.
Throughout her life, Julia found joy in attending church, going for leisurely car rides, and celebrating Christmas with her family, where she would eagerly start decorating on Thanksgiving Day.
To honor Julia's memory, a Funeral Ceremony will be held on July 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Holloway Funeral Home - Chapel, preceded by a Visitation at 10:00 am. The burial will take place later that day at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne, MD 21853.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1703, Salisbury, MD 21802, in Julia's name.
Julia's unwavering love, faith, and dedication to her family will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will continue to be treasured by those who were touched by her presence.
