Julie Ann Forrest, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away unexpectedly on September 21, 2025, at MyMichigan Health - Midland, at the age of 66. Born on January 6, 1959, in Alpena, Julie's life was a testament to the power of faith and devotion.

The daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Roznowski) Wozniak, Julie grew up in a home filled with warmth and kindness, values she carried throughout her life. She was a beloved wife of 45 years to Jim Forrest, with whom she shared a life rich in love and adventure, including three memorable years in Europe. Julie was a cherished mother to Chris (Kristy) Forrest and Sarah (Jacob) Griffore, who will carry her legacy of love and care forward.

Julie's siblings, Gordon (Anita) Wozniak, Paulette (Larry) Werth, and Gerard (Donna) Wozniak, remember her as a guiding light in their lives. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Golder, and is survived by her brother-in-law, Dave Golder.

Her grandchildren, Emily, Tishia, David Jr., Tanner, Cole, Eloise, Holden, and Hutchinson, were the joy of her life. Julie's great-grandchildren, Travis, Carter, and Elora, also brought her immense happiness. She was a nurturing presence in their lives, always there with open arms and a listening ear.

Julie's professional life was marked by her long tenure at Edward Jones in Gaylord, where she was not just an employee but a cherished member of the Edward Jones family. Her colleagues will remember her for her dedication, warmth, selfless support she extended to everyone, and her exceptional memory as a walking database of knowledge.

Julie was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hubbard Lake. Her interests were as nurturing as her personality. Julie found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life: tending to her flower beds, gardening, canning, sewing, and cooking. She was an avid biker and cross-country skier, embracing the beauty of nature with every stride. Julie's love for travel took her to many places, but her favorite journey was always returning home to the laughter and stories of her grandchildren.

Julie is at McWilliams Funeral Home where family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 3pm-8pm. Visiting will resume on Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hubbard Lake from 10am until the service at 11am with Rev. Joseph Llewellyn officiating. Interment to follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church – Hubbard Lake or Friends Together - Alpena.
