Julie Loomis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care - Pembroke Pines Chapel on Dec. 9, 2025.
Julie A. Loomis, 79, of Davie, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025.

Born on March 31, 1946, in La Porte, Indiana, Julie was the beloved daughter of Kenneth and Phyllis Hoover. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth Loomis. Julie is survived by her brother Gerard Hoover and his wife Cherie, her brother-in-law Roger Loomis, her daughters Kimberly Jennessee (Craig) and Jennifer Loomis, her grandchildren Emily and Wyatt, and her great-grandchildren Lainey and Casey.

Julie dedicated her life to pediatric care, spending nearly 50 years with Pediatric Associates in Hollywood, Florida. She began her career as a medical assistant and, through hard work and compassion, rose to become Director of Clinical Services and then Director of Case Management, a role she held until her retirement in 2016. Her colleagues and patients alike admired her unwavering commitment to children's health and her supportive nature.

In retirement, Julie found joy in weekly card games with neighbors, trips to Disney with her longtime friends, and most of all, doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as supportive, generous, and deeply patriotic, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family, friends, and community.

The family will receive friends at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Care, University Drive Chapel on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM with a tribute to Julie's life starting at 3:00 PM.
