Julie Ann (Tweedy) Raines, 62 years old, born January 9, 1960 to Samuel and Lillian Joahn (Knipe) Tweedy in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away at her home in Greenwood, Indiana on April 6, 2022 that she shared with her husband, Thomas Michael "Tommy" Raines, Jr.
Julie loved her family more than anything. She was a strong woman and raised 6 children on her own. She loved Christmas and Easter and, even when her children were adults, made Easter baskets for them for as long as she could. Her favorite thing to do was to sit and watch anything she could find about history, ghost stories, etc.
Julie is survived by her husband Tommy, mother Joahn, siblings Junior, Rose, Margie, and Mark, her 6 children and their spouses Jill and Beto, Clinton and Odessa, Shane, Amy, Lori and Nick, Jessica and Juan, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Sam and granddaughter Kathy.
Julie is loved by many and will be missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 1:00pm at Jessen & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 11:00am until the funeral hour. Julie will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
Arrangements are entrusted to Jessen & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel.
