Julie Marie (Wallsmith) Williams, age 56, of Brewster, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Citizens Medical Center in Colby, Kansas, after fighting her battle with cancer.
Julie was born on March 23, 1968, in Colby, Kansas, to Robert Wallsmith and Vonita (Faber) Holub. Julie graduated from high school in Brewster, Kansas before earning a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas.
Julie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her unwavering kindness and for being the friend that everyone confided in, a role she embraced with grace. She kept secrets with the utmost care and provided comfort to anyone in need. Her ability to forgive and empathize was boundless. Her love for video games created a special bond with her children, nieces, and grandchildren. Gaming with Grandma became a cherished family tradition that brought smiles and laughter to her family. It was more than a pastime; these moments created lasting memories. Julie’s compassion touched everyone she met. Above all, Julie loved her grandchildren. They brought her immeasurable joy, and she made it her mission to make sure they knew just how deeply they were loved. The memories they shared with her will forever be treasured as her greatest legacy.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wallsmith.
She is survived by her four children, Zebulun Wallsmith (Courtney Ress), Alexis (Wyatt) Werth, Tyler Williams, and Missy (Aaron) Mann; her mother, Vonita Holub; siblings, Matt (Stacy) Wallsmith and Jessica (James) House; her grandchildren, Justin, Cheyenne, Jacob, and Katherine Dorn, Joseph (Elyssa), Hayden, and Lola Mann, Brenna, Everly, Maycee, and Lincoln Werth, Kyle and Brayden Williams, and Gavin Hilty; and great-grandchildren, Emberlyn and Lane Tompkins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A private graveside service will take place at the Faber O’ Neal Cemetery in Brewster, Kansas. There will be a memorial service held at Henry Hall in Brewster, Kansas on November 23, 2024, at noon. The family encourages all to come with stories and memories in her honor. Memorials may be made to Northwest Kansas Foundation for Hope and Werth-A-Stay in Hays, Kansas, and sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701.
