June Carolyn Phillips, 77, of Russell, Kansas, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell.
June was born on August 08, 1947, in Little Falls, New York, the daughter of Deforrest Vicker and Helen Louise (Walden) Phillips. She moved to Russell, Kansas in 1964, and worked for the Russell Rest Home and later became Wheatland Nursing Center. She worked as a cook and housekeeper from 1964 to 1990 when she retired. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Russell. She enjoyed walking her dog, embroidery work and spend quality time with her family and friends.
Surviving family includes her sister in-law Caroldine Dale, niece Deborah Dale and nephew Bryan Dale all of Hutchinson, Kansas. She was preceded in death by father Deforrest V. Phillips, mother Helen L. (Walden) Dale and stepfather Chester E. Dale, brothers Jack Dale and David Dale and sister Catherine Theriot and close friend Joyce Wiseman.
June selected a cremation service. Open visitation will be from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Tuesday, February 04, 2025, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be given to Wheatland Nursing Center of Russell, Kansas. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas is in charge of the arrangements.
