June Sabo - Pietrykowski Obituary
June Blossom Sabo - Pietrykowski, age 98, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024.
June was the beloved wife of the late Andrew John Sabo and the late Thaddius Pietrykowski; loving mother of Beth (Bob) Farris, Gloria Sabo, and Joyce (Mark) Michalik; devoted grandmother of Tricia (James) Gleghorn, Debbie (Chad) Whitehead, Amy (Cameron) Barnes, Bryan (Amy) Dixon, Matthew (Lisa) Michalik, Robert (Andrea) Townsend, Molly Michalik, Jason (Michele) Townsend, and Christie (Walt) Hall. She was also survived by many, many great-grandchildren and even a couple of great-great-grandchildren.
Teaching was June's career and passion in life. She taught 1st and 2nd Grades over many years in the Roseville Public Schools from 1964 until her retirement in 1990. Her primary schools in the district were Edgewood Elementary and Huron Park Elementary (where she ended up retiring from). Her love of teaching touched countless lives over the years. In her personal time, she loved to continue to learn. She loved reading and writing. Her library of books was legendary. June participated in several writing groups and wanted to become a successful writer in her later years, and even got a couple of things published. Music was a very big part of her life as well. She played the piano, the accordion, and the violin. She also loved singing and was always in a choir. She would play for her church, the Troy Church of the Nazarene, for a time. She brightened every environment she could with the beauty of music.
June's life will be celebrated by family and friends and her memory will live on always.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan.
