June Bryte Santee, age 86, passed away June 17, 2025. A longtime resident of Palm Springs, CA, she was born on April 8, 1938, in Santa Ana, CA, to parents Maxine (Zolman) and Mervyn Bryte.
June met her husband at the University of California-Berkeley, with whom she had two daughters, Robyn and Karen. As a stay-at-home mom she was very involved in PEO and the Assistance League of Santa Ana. After 19 years of marriage, she moved on to her next adventures in the workforce and travelling. She made many friends in her recovery programs. Some of the highlights of her life include living in Manhattan and bonding with her adopted cats.
June had a passion for adventure and spent many years exploring the world, visiting far off destinations including Israel, India, Turkey, Japan, Africa, and Australia, as well as extensive travel here in the United States, only missing Alaska and West Virginia.
After her traveling days, she settled in Palm Springs, CA, where she continued to enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives. She spent her last years living at The Hallmark Assisted Living Facility, where she enjoyed playing bingo and working on puzzles.
She is survived by her two daughters, Robyn Quinones and Karen Blinkinsop; three grandchildren, Andrew, Jenna, and Michaela; and her great-granddaughter, Avery.
