Junie F. Jones, 77, and Edward R. "Eddie" Jones, 78, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Thursday, January 9, 2025, at their home. Both hospice patients, Junie died at 3:55 a.m. and Edward followed her at 6:11 p.m. to join her in Heaven.
Junie was born May 11, 1947, in Lackey, Kentucky to Armond and June (Campbell) Ritchie.
Edward was born February 9, 1946, in Newport News, Virginia, to Agnel and Neval (Hite) Jones.
In December, 1990, Edward and Junie were married.
Junie retired from Kroger in Kendallville after 20 years.
Eddie bought and transported cars for his family business, Jones Auto in Kentucky. He honorably served in the U.S. Army.
Junie touched many lives in her years here on earth. She was sweet, loving, and kind.
Eddie loved old cars and taking care of his wife.
Among their survivors are a daughter, Corinne Perkins of Kendallville; and two sons, Michael Perkins of Rome City and Chris Perkins of Kendallville..
They were preceded in death by a granddaughter, Caitlyn Martin.
Private burial will be in Orange Cemetery near Rome City.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
