Justin Bates Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 2, 2024.
Justin Lamont Bates: aka Jay
Sunrise on January 6, 1983 to the late Carrie Lee Bates and Alvin Miller in Baltimore, Maryland. He spend his early childhood in West Baltimore with his mother Carrie Lee Bates. Who he cherish oh so much. He's fondest memories with her is when they would walk the street together and she would carry him and he would lay his head on her chest. Just so he could hear her heart beat.
In 1989, Justin moved to Baltimore County, Randallstown section where he moved in with the Monks family and spend 19 years with them. That's where he got his education from. At Randallstown High School
In 1994, he was fortunate to meet the great Dr Ted Sutton who became a mentor/big brother and oldest closest friend. Jay would tell Ted about EVERYTHING that's happening in his life and quick to jump on anyone for him but that's the type of person he was. So loyal, caring, overprotective and down for the ones he loves. As an young adult he dreamt about becoming a rapper and professional boxer. Oh he loved to fight lol
It was in 2017, he met the love of his life, Kenyetta Aultman in Dundalk, Maryland. Who he stayed with until the very end. They talked about marrying and leaving Baltimore together, expending their family. She was his longest relationship and he loved him some "K". His favorite dish she would cooked was Baked Ziti, Smothered steak over white rice and gravy. Together they had 2 sons. Jayceon Bates born 2021 and Vy'shonn Bates born 2023.
Justin was preceded by his mother Carrie Lee Bates. Two sons Jayceon Bates and Vy'shonn Bates.
Justin leaves behind a brokenhearted fiancé, Kenyetta Aultman, one daughter Anaja Bates and one grandson Mason and a host of friends that loved him. Jay would definitely be greatly missed
