Justin Ryan Edwards, 31, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014. He was born November 13, 1982 in Lubbock. Justin graduated from Coronado High School in 2001 where he played football. He went on to graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and worked as an aircraft mechanic for two years. He most recently was a MWD for Intrepid Directional Drilling. He married D’Nika Romero on February 29, 2011 in Lubbock. He loved spending time with the loves of his life, D’Nika and their two girls Lexi and Presley and weight training.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, D’Nika and their daughters, Alexis Jordyn Edwards and Presley Monroe Edwards; parents, Deborah Edwards Burk of Lubbock and Jody Edwards and wife Irlecia of Lubbock; brother, Michael Edwards and his girlfriend Katherine Herbert of San Marcos; grandmother, Lucy Williams of Lubbock; two step-sisters, Andressa and Amanda Bertaioli of Lubbock; and his in-laws, Dana Franks of Lubbock and Ricky Romero of Lubbock.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, H. W. “Sam” and Maxine Edwards and R. K. “Sonny” Denson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 33rd and Indiana. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Justin Edwards Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
