Justin Newberry

Justin D. Newberry, 39, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at OSF Saint Anthony Hospital.
He was born May 26, 1982, in Rockford, Ill., the son of Harry and Kay Newberry of Kirkland.
He graduated from Hiawatha High School. He resided in Kirkland. Right after high school, he started his own lawn care business and became the proud owner of Justin's Lawncare and Snow Removal.
Justin was a very active member in his community. He enjoyed his time volunteering at the church doing maintenance. He was the caretaker for all the Franklin Township cemeteries. He would talk to anyone he crossed paths with. He loved talking to people and helping others. He loved coaching his daughter's softball team and was a member of the Kirkland softball board. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He is predeceased by his brother, William Newberry; his brother-in-law, Sam Clark; and both his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Nancy Clark, and his two beautiful daughters, Lexi and Emma; his parents, Harry and Kay Newberry of Kirkland; his two sisters, Stacey (Douglas) Beyer of Byron and Chrystal Prosser of Kirkland; his three nieces, Ashley, Michala and Cailie; his four nephews, Jacob, Jarrett, Cody and Shawn; eight great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1-5 pm Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Olson's Quiram Kirkland funeral home, 309 S. Fifth St., Kirkland, IL 60145. Masks are required. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. January 3, 2022, at the First Lutheran Church in Kirkland, with Pastor Phil Gronbach officiating, followed by the burial at Maple Cemetery in Kirkland.
A memorial fund has been established in Justin's name for his two daughters and may be directed to his family.
