JUSTINE V. (TINA) LEVAN, age 85 of Piqua, OH returned to Heaven on Friday January 3, 2025 at 1:21 PM at Green Hills Community in West Liberty, OH. She was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on December 30, 1939 to the late William and Stella (Marek) Morrissey. On April 19, 1956 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in South Attleboro, Massachusetts Tina married Robert LeVan and he survives.
Besides her husband of nearly 69 years of marriage, Tina leaves behind one daughter and son-in-law: Charlene (Richard) Johnson, Belle Center, OH, two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert, III (Marcella) LeVan, Henderson, Nevada, Michael (Mi) LeVan, Simi Valley, CA; one brother: William Morrissey, Central Falls, Rhode Island; four grandchildren: Christopher (Virginia) Ridenour, Brandon (Lauren) Ridenour, Mara LeVan and Audra LeVan; three great-grandchildren: Tyler, Star and Alexis.
Tina graduated from Piqua JVS and received her Nursing License. She worked and retired from Dorothy Love Nursing Home after 15 years as a floor charge nurse. Tina was a member of the ladies Auxillary at the Piqua VFW, Piqua American Legion and the Piqua AMVETS. She was also a former member of the Piqua Eagles and Piqua Moose Lodge. Tina loved to read, knit and sew. She also loved all animals and owned many over the years. Tina was a very dedicated mother and wife and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Tina's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the Piqua VFW 8756 N. County Rd. 25A Piqua, OH. 45356 with Pastor Gary Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Piqua VFW. Arrangements are being handled by Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, OH.
Instead of flowers memorial Contributions may be made to the Troy Animal Shelter 1110 N. County Rd. 25A Troy, OH. 45373 or to one's choice.
