Raised in Monaca, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lena (Cascio) Rubino.
Dolly was a 1956 graduate of Monaca High School. After graduation she started at the Central Bureau of Beaver County where she stayed for four years before leaving to raise her family. Dolly eventually went into retailing at Kaufmann's in Rochester for 25 years where she moved from sales into management. Although she loved working with the public, she went back to the credit bureau as a manager until retirement.
After retirement, Dolly started working part time caring for elderly patients with dementia. She was a member of St. Cecilia Church – Our Lady of the Valley Parish and was a Christian Mother. She enjoyed her monthly card club, spending weekends with her family at their camp, sharing her freshly baked cookies, and particularly enjoyed hosting Christmas Eve with her friends and family.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters;, Cynthia Carcaise, Pam (Neel) Gigliotti, and Becky (Ed) Roberta Stang, her grandchildren who called her "Nunny"; Michael (Kristen) Phillips, Roxie (Ryan) Smart, E. J. (Shae) Stang, and Rhea (Nick) Stang, great grandchildren, Ryland and Silas Phillips and Landon Smart, her brother Frank Rubino and dear friend, Nancy Goodwin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Roberta in 1999, her brothers, Chuckie Rubino and James Rubino, Sr.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca (724 728 4000) where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:15 am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 am in St Cecilia Church – Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Rochester. Burial will follow in Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
The Family would like to express their gratitude for the care that Dolly received from Providence Care and Grane Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dolly's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2585 E. Carson Street, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
