Juthika Bose

Juthika Bose, mother of Dr. Sajal K. Bose, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the grand age of 97 surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by 7 children, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She was born on January 15, 1928 in India to parents Dwigendra Mohan Ghosh and Manmohini Ghosh.
She was a devoted wife to her husband Jatindra Lohan Bose (d. 2003) and a fierce homemaker. She was a strong-willed and determined person and ran a tight and efficient household. She valued education, but lived in a time when higher education was not available to her. And yet, she instilled this value in her family and watched her children and grandchildren achieve great success in school and in their careers.
She moved to Greenwood, Indiana in 2012 where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Sajal K. Bose and Mrs. Kalyani Bose.
She enjoyed 'adda'(chatting) with friends and family, reciting prayers, knitting sweaters, cooking Bengali delicacies, and tending to her precious garden. Her family is grateful for her long years well lived. She leaves behind a legacy of determination and hard work. May her soul rest in peace.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 11:30 AM until the time of service at 1:30 PM at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. Cremation will immediately follow at 1505 South East Street, Indianapolis, IN.
