Karen Jane {Eiland} Ansell, age 73, of Mogadore, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2025. She was born on December 13, 1951 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to the late William and Ella Eiland.

Karen married the love of her life, Gary Ansell, on December 12, 1981, and together they shared 43 wonderful years. She retired after 45 years at First Merit Bank.

Karen loved more than anything being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lived a life filled with kindness, laughter and love. She had many friends, loved spending winters in Florida, and had a passion for cooking and canning.

She is survived by her husband Gary Ansell; her daughter Gia Lynn; her son, Gary Ansell Jr. (Tiffany); her brother-in-law, Charles Ansell; her sister-in-law, Vicki Ansell; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, October 11th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service that begins at 12:00 p.m. A committal service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Mogadore, where Karen will be laid to rest.
